Are you looking for a unique experience to explore aromas, learn the art of tasting and share a warm moment?

At the Cave du Canal, in the heart of Paris, we offer tasting classes that combine discovery, pleasure, and education.

How does a Tasting take place?

Each workshop lasts two hours, from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with a maximum of 20 people, ideal for ensuring a rich and personalized interaction.

Blindfolded, you will travel to the heart of our superb regions through the tasting of vintages selected by our sommelier, all accompanied by mixed platters.

What You Will Experience

You will learn to recognize grape varieties, understand terroirs and decipher the technical terms of oenology.

To do this, we'll guide you step by step through a tasting session where only your senses will speak. With a notebook in hand, you'll jot down your first impressions.

No label, no color, just your feelings.

We reassure you: the important thing is not to be right, but to feel .

You take your time, smell, taste, let the wine invade your palate.
Each aroma reveals itself little by little, without being influenced by a label or a price.

Then you remove the blindfold: it's time to share.
How did you feel?
Was it fruity?
Spicy ?
Light or full-bodied?

We put technical words to your sensations: acidity, tannins, length in the mouth...
Little by little, you will understand what makes a wine's identity and the vocabulary of professionals will suddenly seem more accessible to you.

Then we take the game further: which region do you think this wine comes from?
You can tell a Burgundy from a Bordeaux, or a Chenin from a Chardonnay.
We'll explain it to you over a glass.

For 2.5 hours, we explore five wines together and provide boards to help you understand the impact of a wine on a dish.
